I went to Google Chrome on my iphone to do a search. When I clicked on website message popped up that I had been hacked, go to App Store which I did not do. I went to history and cleared last 24 hours of history but message still pops up. In the address box it has cleani.xyz. What should I do?

If Chrome is like Safari, it will keep reopening whatever tabs were open when you last closed it. This is meant as a convenience, but if you get one of these messages, you want to close the tabs containing the offending message and the Web site that brought it to you.
The site may hijack your “Back” button, but hopefully cannot block tab closure.
If you go to a Web site, and click on the Back button ("<"), and that doesn't take you back to where you were before, then the site has hijacked your Back button, or there's some sort of redirect interfering with it.
It happens on some legitimate Web sites (not just on scam Web sites), and can be annoying. But you can get around it by opening a new tab/window.
I should point out that when a site hijacks your Back button ... that's only in effect as long as you have that site open. It's not something permanent that the site can do to your browser, that will stay in effect after you have gotten rid of all of the tabs for the site. Just something it can do to make the open tabs not work as expected.
