Is there a log which shows the time when USB devices are connected and disconnected in Sonoma?

There was a nice manual for showing the connection time of USB devices in 2015 using the system.log. However, the system.log does not show contain this info anymore. Is this stored in a different log now?

Are you sure about this?

Absolutely certain.

Because the links I posted state that these logs have existed earlier at least.

Apple regularly re-writes major parts of the operating system. The logging subsystem was re-done a few years ago. You are welcome to look at it if you want. Just be careful. More than one person on these forums has literally gone insane looking at the logs. I'm not exaggerating.

Just launch Console and click "Start streaming". Then, connect your USB device. Then, go back to Console and "Pause streaming". Do the same for a disconnect. Depending on how fast you are to switch apps and click the button, you might have, maybe 40,000 log entries to scan. Consider ordering a pizza or DoorDash. You're going to be at this all night long.

Welcome

In Console

Have attached a USB Drive multi times

Each time looking in any of the available files.

Have yet to find a specific entry for a Drive that was Successfully attached or dis-attached

There might be something showing up If there was failed Mount or unexpected Dis-Mount

That I am sorry to say I can not provide

Reason, all drive successful Mount and Dis-Mount

Perhaps a more learned contributor can point you in the right direct 🤞
