iMac 5K 27inch 2020 macOS Sonoma 14.5
I have Express VPN version 11.55.0 running on my iMac which shows as connected on my desktop, but in the Settings window VPN ExpressVPN IKEv2 shows as 'Disconnected'. I've tried switching the button to on but it says "connecting" for a while then switched back to off. Is this correct? Am I missing something?

You can ignore it and/or report it, the ExpressVPN connected message is all that matters. To verify your connection, you can see your IP location using one of several web utilities such as https://whatismyipaddress.com/.
Why are you using a VPN? If you’re not using it specifically to connect to a secure private network, such as your employer or school, chances are all you’re doing is wasting resources and slowing things down, not to mention potentially exposing all of your data traffic to an untrustable 3rd party.
