Pages: Open a PDF file?

In Pages ver 14, can I open a PDF file?

I can create a PDF file at File>Export To>PDF

But I cannot figure out how then to open that file — or any PDF file.

File>Open doesn't display files with a PDF file extension and does not show recently created PDF files at File>Open Recent

Am I missing something?

Thank you

Pages cannot open any PDF file. PDFs are final format documents intended for printing and are not compatible with word-processing document formats. You open the exported PDF from Pages in Apple's Preview, or any third-party PDF reader or paid editor.

You can drag and drop single-page PDFs onto an open Pages document where they simply become uneditable document objects.

I recommend that you keep and review: Pages User Guide for Mac - Apple Support
