How to restore my Mission Control icon onto the Dock

Question

I lost my Mission Control icon on my Dock using Sonoma. How does one get it back?

iMac 27″, macOS 14.4

Go to your Applications Folder, find the "Mission Control" icon, and drag it to the Dock.

I tried that. When I drag it onto my Docks and then click on it my screen changes and the wording "No available windows".

Help?

I have no idea how I screwed it up losing it in the first place.

I used the wrong wording. I just located the same type of question and I should have used

launchpad icon. I followed that post and have it back now. Thanks
