The phone does not work. I don’t have the original packaging and the iPhone is not listed under devices, so how do I find out what the serial number is? Is there a physical location on the phone ?

If your iPhone has a SIM tray and you need support but can't view the Settings menu, you can use the IMEI/MEID instead of the serial number.*
On the following devices, find the serial number in Settings and the IMEI/MEID on the SIM tray:
Why? It’s not worth the cost of repair, if you can even get it repaired now.
That said, it should be etched on the SIM carrier.
