Hello after 17.5.1 update i encounter extreme battery drain and life drop from 90% to 86% after update. Battery drains almost 50-60% in 4 hours without using it before update battery lasts almost day and half without charging!

Same with me, totally annoying, after updating my phone to latest software my iPhone battery started to drain faster like before it would drain 50% in 6 to 8 hours and now it was draining 50% in 4 to 6 and most of the times phone was ideal and i was not using it. Thanks to another apple thread in this forum where I found a guide How to Stop Battery Draining on iPhone After a Recent IOS Update where I got to know that Disabling Siri and search settings as well as journaling suggestions and the app privacy report that run in the background and can drain the battery fast even when you are not using your phone. I followed other solutions too and now my battery drains to 50% in 8 to 10 hours with the same usage.

Just put on table - few call and at midday 45%. Crazy! Wasnt so bad before update.. but best battery performance was from base ios when 15 max was bought.

Same issue on my iPhone 15 pro max. I’m getting 2 hours less screen time on iOS 17.5.1. Such a disappointment. iOS 17.4 was fantastic.
My phone will not even keep a charge now. I’ve had it plugged in for 3 hours and I’ve lost battery life. WTAF
My battery health from 95% to 88% right after 17.5.1 update. My phone was fine before the update. Now it’s lagging horribly so I definitely believe it was the update.

I’m getting the “unable to verify” update too! It crashes my phone and I need to reset it so I can use it again. I’ve tried performing the update on my laptop too. Sooo frustrating
battery drain used to be a sign of surveillance on your phone all of a sudden now it’s just battery drained it’s getting worse and worse
Same problem. My 13 Pro Max battery life was fine before the update. After update, half the activity of the day before yet battery died.
Huge battery drain also after 17.5.1. Battery drained to 15% by lunchtime. Usually at 80% with same usage over same period of time.

I am also facing more or less the same issue, battery drainage, phone heating up and charging issue. It is not coming to charge unless i power off the phone for few minutes and then plug in.
