Is this a genuine Apple password request? It looks fake as f

Some software I use needs to update. This pop up has appeared asking for my Mac password. But it looks fake and I've not see password requests in this design before. Is this genuine?

And if it is genuine, why is Apple's design so bad that it looks fake and why can't they do something to the design to make it clear it's real and not a scam?

Audio Hijack is asking for permission to update it's ACE component.

If you do not use Audio Hijack you can delete it, ignore it, cancel the request.

It is a app interface request... not Apple design as you insinuate.
