How do I change my iPhone from answering automatically on the first ring?

5 is the default for most carriers. But that is irrelevant; if it actually answers on the first ring (and doesn’t just go to voicemail on the first ring) you have an Auto Answer accessibility option enabled. Settings/Accessibility/Touch/Call Audio Routing/Auto Answer Calls.


If it goes to voicemail after one ring that is a completely different issue. Go to Settings/Phone and make sure Call Forwarding is not enabled, and even if it isn’t contact your carrier and ask them if it is enabled on their network.
