Macbook Air shuts down when battery reaches 31%, and trackpad becomes laggy below 45% battery

My Macbook Air, M1, 2020 has suddenly started to go blank and show 'low battery' when battery level hits 31%. Now, I have also started noticing that when battery goes below 50%, the trackpad becomes a bit jittery/laggy which then becomes normal when i charge it. Battery health is 'Normal', max capacity is 83% and cycle count is 230. I have been trying to keep my battery % between 30% and 80% for some time now. Any idea why I have suddenly started facing this issue and what could be a possible fix? On a side note, I haven't updated to the latest update (macOS Sonoma)

It appears to me, although the Full Cycles are only 230 cycles.

The Battery maybe failing or worse still, Swelling / Expanding beneath the Trackpad

The swelling of the battery, if this is so, is causing the Trackpad to malfunction or act as it is now

Ran the diagnostics, says no issues found. Also, I have updated to macOS Sonoma, trackpad seems to be working fine now but the battery issue is same. After 31% or so, it suddently dropped to 0%. I plugged in the power adaptor, then it said 1% (charged) but after a while it suddenly took the battery percentage back to 50%. Not sure why the battery is acting up this way.
