Apple Watch SE 2nd gen how to set up 2 esim carriers

Hi. Traveling abroad and using the Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen. As far as I understand, it is possible to store up to 5 esim on this watch. However, I could not find a menu or button with which I could add a second eSIM number. Please advise, if you know.

Your Apple Watch has to be paired to an iPhone, and you will have to set up the dual SIM on the iPhone.

After that you can choose between the different carrier plans on your Apple Watch:

Set up multiple cellular plans

If you set up Dual SIM on your iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, or iPhone XR or later, you can add both cellular plans on your Apple Watch Series 4 or later, as long as each plan is eligible and from a supported carrier

You can set up one plan when you set up your watch for the first time. Then you can set up your second plan later in the Apple Watch app:

  1. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
  2. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap Cellular.
  3. Tap Set Up Cellular or Add a New Plan. If you didn't add your first plan during setup, you can add it here.
  4. Follow the onscreen steps to choose the plans that you want to add to your Apple Watch. Each cellular plan will be billed separately. If you need help, contact your carrier.

You can add up to five cellular plans to your Apple Watch. However, your Apple Watch can only connect to one at a time. If you have an enterprise or corporate cellular service plan, check with your company or carrier to see if they support this feature. Pre-paid accounts and some older accounts aren’t currently supported. To make sure that your account is eligible, contact your carrier.

Your Apple Watch eSIM is tied to the carrier, that your iPhone uses:

With watchOS 9.1 and later, international roaming is available on cellular models of Apple Watch Series 5 and later, Apple Watch SE and later, and Apple Watch Ultra.

To get international roaming on your Apple Watch, contact your iPhone carrier to add your watch to your iPhone cellular roaming plan. For international roaming to work on your Apple Watch, your carrier must support VoLTE and roaming. Not all carriers support international roaming on Apple Watch and coverage in other countries is determined by your carrier.

To turn on international roaming, open the Settings app on your Apple Watch. Tap Cellular, then turn on Data Roaming.

International roaming is not supported for cellular models of Apple Watch used in Family Setup.

To cover the LTE and UMTS bands used around the world, cellular models of Apple Watch come in regional models for the Americas, China mainland, and Europe/Asia Pacific.

Unlike iPhone, there isn't a worldwide Apple Watch model that supports all cellular bands used globally. Find out which carriers in your country or region offer cellular service for Apple Watch.
