Podcasts cycling through random shows after iOS update

Hello. I’ve been having issues with Apple Podcasts since the last update. I was on an iPhone 12 Pro Max, not jail broken or anything. Running iOS 17.4.1. I just upgraded to iPhone 15 pro max and having exact same issue. So the description below has now happened on two phones. My iPad is not having this problem.

When I open the app, it just cycles through podcast shows that I don’t follow and I can’t listen to any of the shows that I do follow bc every few seconds it just starts showing me random shows. The app itself also randomly opens sometimes and starts cycling through the shows. I’ve been using another app in the meantime and I hate it lol

I have tried restarting the phone without deleting the app. I then tried deleting the app and reinstalling without a restart and then I tried deleting the app, restating phone, and then reinstalling. I’m getting same results every time. Any help or tips would be great. I’m not sure what else to do aside from wait for the next update and hope for the best. Everything else on the phone seems to be workin like normal. Thanks!

I can’t figure out how to upload videos to show an example.
