What do I lose when changing my Apple ID email?
I want to change the email I use with my Apple ID however I’m not sure what is at risk. For starters I wanted to know if my purchase history is reset.

Nothing if you actually change it instead of creating a new account.
Here's how you change the email address (Apple ID) you use for your Apple Account while retaining everything in your account:
If you have an iPhone or iPad:
1. Go to Settings, then tap your name.
2. Tap Sign In & Security.
3. Next to Email & Phone Numbers, tap Edit.
4. Tap the Remove button next to the email address, then tap Delete.
5. Tap Choose Another Email Address and enter your device passcode if asked.
6. Enter the new email address, then tap Continue.

- If you don’t have an iPhone or iPad the support article says to, “go to https://appleid.apple.com and sign in. Then follow the onscreen instructions to change the email address associated with your Apple ID.”

- Note a recent change to the article where you can now change the email address without having to have access to your old email account.

Follow this link to change your Apple ID email. Nothing will change on your account and your purchase history will not be reset.
Nope. Your purchase history is always tied to your Apple ID and cannot be deleted. Changing the email address used for your Apple ID makes no difference.
You can't delete it but you can hide it. The history is tied to the account regardless of the email address that is currently associated with the account.

Thanks for the response! I was also curious if it’s possible to erase my purchase history while excluding save data for apps.
