Do you mean recover your Apple ID because you forgot your password? If that is the case then you will need to use one of these 3 methods for recovery.

If the yahoo mail was your Apple ID, then you will receive a recovery link if you use Account Recovery. There are many options to reset your password using Account Recovery and you will just need to work through the steps and wait as there may be a delay before you can get it reset. The one thing you would not want is for anyone else to be able to change your Apple ID if they had learned you email password. That would be terrible account security if your email account was compromised, then your Apple ID would be too.
