Unable to upgrade Thunderbird Hub for connectivity on MacBook Pro

Purchased a thunderbird interfaced hub. My 2016 MacBookPro has two thunderbird ports. They are not compatible with the thunderbird hub cable. Looking for info or conversion cable for this interface.

Most ThunderBolt-2 docks were discontinued long ago, and trying to find one may make you crazy.

if all you want to do is connect two displays:

• connect one directly using an HDMI cable

• connect the other one to ThunderBolt-2 port.

ThunderBolt-2 is plug-compatible with [mini] DisplayPort, -OR-

adapter to [Full-Size] DisplayPort is cheap "just wires" adapter -OR-

Adapter to HDMI or DVI should also be available, but harder to find.

Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapters are easy to find on Amazon. A search turned up several in the $9 – $14 USD range.

It might be possible to connect two displays via Mini DisplayPort. One per port – Macs don't support DisplayPort MST daisy-chaining. If so, there would be three video output ports, out of which you could use any two.

Note that DVI monitors with resolutions exceeding 1920x1200 require dual-link DVI input and cables. You can get mDP to single-link DVI adapters from Amazon for maybe $9 – $14 USD. An active dual-link DVI adapter could be much harder to find, and be much, much more expensive.
