When it expires, they may not send a new physical card. The first card you get had an expiration date 5 years in the future. Apple Card was first introduced in August of 2019 and Goldman Sachs has started replacing the cards. You may not not qualify for an updated MasterCard without a required device.

>>“Required Device” means an iOS device with a version of iOS installed that supports use of Apple Card in your Apple Wallet, a visionOS device that has a version of visionOS that supports the use of Apple Card or an iPadOS device that has a version of iPadOS that supports the use of Apple Card. A Required Device must have internet access and a passcode enabled.<<

You might just want to pickup a refurbished iPhone 11 or newer to satisfy your compliance with the terms and conditions and enhance your experience with Apple Card.

Unfortunately, If you don’t own any of those devices you listed, AND your Mac doesn’t include a biometric fingerprint reader; you might not have an “AppleCard.”

You might only have an “Apple Line of Credit” … usable only at Apple.

My understanding that early recipients of the device must activate on a <Required Device>. When the original cards went out they would eventually activate the card if you called the support number. The new cards aren’t being activated by support and must be activated with iPhone. My understanding is the activation process checks DPAN etc. and if the card is not installed, they won’t activate. Support staff does not have manual activation available. That of course could change as we move into the period when millions were signing up. Right now it’s just the early adopters and I’m sure the response is being measured and evaluated.

You have it above on your page 13 reference.

>>Using Your Account Without a Required Device

This section explains the differences that apply if you use your Account without a Required Device.

For example, if you do not apply for, add or maintain Apple Card on a Required Device, this section applies.<<

If you can login w/ https://card.apple.com/ with your AppleID and see your account … it would seem that you’re good.

If not … it’s probably been cancelled.

By my read (and I’m NOT a lawyer) once you have the card, nothing in the agreement requires you to maintain the required devices; it only describes that you’ll not have the “full experience.”

That said, I could also interpret the same agreement to “read” that G.S. certainly could decline to renew it at expiration

They’ve certainely “tuned-up” the agreement over the years - for the better. Many previous ambiguities have been cleared-up.

What’s still left unstated — and I suspect intentionally so — is what constitutes “maintenance” of a required device(s)?

Can one be “device-less” for a month? … for six months ? … for a year ? … until expiry of the titanium and/or virtual cards?

Does G.S. provide a “no device warning notice” or simply perform a no-notice downgrade of the account to an “Apple Line of Credit.” ?

I suspect like many things in the credit industry “it depends on numerous factors.

Yes, I can login to my account online (and still shows the available credit limit), however I'm worried that if I want to use the 'metallic/titanium' card it would decline, because the number has changed, and I don't have a way to see it... (or if the merchant ever ask's me for the security code process the payment)... Anyways, I don't think is a good idea to keep a card, which I don't even know the number... I'll just cancel this one... I have other cards (Visa and AMEX) which I'll keep.

Thanks for the info and your help.
