Sonoma Battery Widget not displaying any devices ?

Running macOS Sonoma (v14.5 (23F79)) I find that even with the latest update that I still do not have any devices showing up in the Battery Widget:

The issues confuses me further as I have both a Keyboard (A1314) and Trackpad (Generation #1) connected to a 2019 iMac, which displays the battery percentage in the Control Center:

I also find that my iPhone X will not show up (it is running iOS v16.7.8).

The iPhone X won't be listed because it is not a "connected Bluetooth accessories" (see fine print below each widget in your screenshot.

I would have thought that the keyboard and trackpad would, but it might be something to do with their age or Bluetooth version. My Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse do work in the widget but the A1314 is an "Apple Wireless Keyboard" from 2009 - 2011 time period and may not be supported for some reason.
