Calibrate google maps / gps

For some unknown reason my compass is not marking north on google maps. I hold the phone and the motion looks like I am moving west.

one of the things I have been told was to click on the blue dot and click calibrate, but is not possible because this option is gray.

iPhone 16 Google map compass not working I recently bought iPhone 16 and noticed Google Map compass is not working. When I make a turn, the map direction stays the same so I have hard time locating where I am driving. It is really dangerous as I constantly need to hit the compass to locate which way I am driving. I tired resetting the location setting, turned off the device but not lack. Does anyone know how to fix this? Do I need to take it to Apple Store? Any advice or support is greatly appreciated. Than you!

You have your phone in Airplane mode. Turn it off and then see if maps is working as you'd expect.
