Any suggestions for how I could download Netflix and Prime shows for offline viewing on a Samsung Smart TV for watching when away in our caravan when I have no Internet access. I can download content in each proprietary app on my iPhone, but both apps appear to prevent me casting to my TV or even connecting via a cable. I just want to view content I have already paid for, so any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Depending which socket you have in your phone you will need either a lighting to HDMI adapter or a c type to HDMI. Plug it into your HDMI socket on your tv and the set the tv to the correct HDMI input and you should be good to go. I have done it this way when I’ve not been in the same WiFi network as a tv and it’s worked first time everytime. I also connect to a projector this way as well.
For casting, there’s need of an internet connection as the casting process is working over internet I am afraid
But what about a wired connection - that shouldn’t require internet, but is also blocked ?
I’ll give that a go, but I’m sure it didn’t work when I tried previously (only tried this method on Amazon Prime to be fair, not Netflix).
