Hi,
Unfortunately, only Windows and Linux appear to be supported.
https://asia.canon/en/support/LASER%20SHOT%20LBP2900__%202900B/model
Results from Search - Apple Community indicate that workarounds may be possible, usually involving a patch. However, be careful! Generally speaking, it is not wise to get files from unknown sites. Always download from a trustworthy source, such as Apple or the printer manufacturer.
If necessary, since CAPT drivers for Linux are available, you could perhaps carry out an experiment with a Raspberry Pi print server (such as mentioned by Techguyuk in Can’t print with iPadOS17 - Apple Community). Such a method may allow printing from a Mac or an iPhone/iPad.

Thanks Jan! The CAPT file is only available upto Sonoma 14.4.1. Either I want (till God knows when), or I downgrade to an earlier OS. The second route is what will take.
Check Canon's web site to see if there is a driver for that model printer that works with the Sonoma operating system. If not, ask them when one will be available.
The latest CAPT file supports upto Sonoma 14.4.1. I guess I'll just have to wait till a newer patch us available, or downgrade my system back to an earlier version.
Hi Ujjal,
The printers listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support do all support Apple's AirPrint technology. Make sure that you choose an AirPrint-compatible model.
Since you have been using a laser printer, that would probably be a good choice. For example, a monochrome laser printer has a low per-page cost, with a high-quality output. Many printers have wireless capabilities. I suggest that you begin by taking a look at the web sites of the major printer manufacturers. Brother is another well-known make in this field. Good luck!

Oops! That's not so good.
You can download and install earlier versions (if available) via softwareupdate in Terminal. It does require that you erase your drive in order to install it.
softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 14.4.1
You would need to create a bootable USB installer from that installer and use it to erase and install 14.4.1.
Create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support
Do you know if they plan on continuing support? If not, I would just get a new computer as it will not be simple to restore the data from a newer OS to the older OS.
Dear lkrupp,
I will do that immediately, if you can advise me on the specific printer. Canon and HP are common in India. If it can be an airplay one that does not need any wires or even driver, that would be great.
Suggestions welcome from anyone.
Thanks!
Ujjal
I’m sure you’re aware then, that you cannot download an earlier version of Sonoma 14 from Apple, and that it would require a complete erasure of your internal storage, basically starting over.
Oops! That's not so good. But I just do not see any other option. Right now I am running to the market with a pendrive in my hand every time I need a print out!
Of course you always have the option to buy a printer is compatible.
Thanks, Jan! That's exactly what I am now doing.
Appreciate your timely suggestions.
