Why is my Fitness Plus workout from custom plan not acknowledged?

Hi there my fitness plus workout from custom plan hasn’t been acknowledged. I’ve completed my workout in morning and in evening I’ve been notified “there’s still time to complete your workout “ I’m confused as I can clearly see it on my watch and dashboard but still shows as pending on my plan. It never happened before.

Hi angelikax,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with Fitness+ Custom Plans.

You’ll get the notification similar to the one you’ve mentioned towards the end of the day when there are one or more workouts that have been yet to complete.

First things first, can you verify you’re using the most up to date version of iOS (currently iOS 17.5.1)?

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap on General.
  3. Tap on Software Update.

Please update if you’re behind!

Secondly, this has happened to me before but usually because I close out of the Fitness+ app too soon. Here are some steps I take to prevent this from happening and haven’t noticed an issues in a bit:

  1. Make sure you completed the entire workout. Do not close out of the app period.
  2. Wait until the Summary screen is brought up summarizing your workout. Tap on Done.
  3. After you finish your workout and click on that Done button, I immediately go into the Custom Plans section and make sure it’s marked as complete. Sometimes this may take a minute to update. Sometimes, I will go back to the main/home screen of the Fitness app and then reopen the Custom Plans section as a “refresh” method.

Restarting your devices may also help!

Hope this works for you!

Dear Pjswiz,

Thank you so much for your reply.

yes, my iOS was up to date (this was my first thought 💭 when it happened)

I don’t close the workouts until it’s done, i always wait till the end then press ✅.

I’ve restarted my phone as well as I thought this might be an issue.

past two weeks my phone been “acting strange” it’s extremely slow and freeze often when doing workout or other things. I do have a 13GB memory left so I doubt it is a space issue. I’m frustrated because I’m very committed to the plan and now probably by the end of my 4th week I won’t get a badge 🙄I don’t know what else can I do.
