I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues with Fitness+ Custom Plans.
You’ll get the notification similar to the one you’ve mentioned towards the end of the day when there are one or more workouts that have been yet to complete.
First things first, can you verify you’re using the most up to date version of iOS (currently iOS 17.5.1)?
- Open Settings.
- Tap on General.
- Tap on Software Update.

Secondly, this has happened to me before but usually because I close out of the Fitness+ app too soon. Here are some steps I take to prevent this from happening and haven’t noticed an issues in a bit:
- Make sure you completed the entire workout. Do not close out of the app period.
- Wait until the Summary screen is brought up summarizing your workout. Tap on Done.
- After you finish your workout and click on that Done button, I immediately go into the Custom Plans section and make sure it’s marked as complete. Sometimes this may take a minute to update. Sometimes, I will go back to the main/home screen of the Fitness app and then reopen the Custom Plans section as a “refresh” method.
Restarting your devices may also help!
