Apple Watch entering passcode repeatedly on it's own

Last week my Apple Watch was repeatedly entering passcodes, on its own and then the number of tries would max out and say to retry in an hour or more later. Eventually, I turned it off and recharged it over night. It started up fine the next day and I've not had this problem again. It was acting like it was being hacked. I was very disappointed in the watch when that occurred. I was seeing many similar complaints in this forum.
