so i have had this problem with a pink line going up and down my screen for awhile. i have tried everything including putting pressure, letting it cool, reset it, etc etc. but it still hasn’t gone away and i’m not sure what to do

Your description does not suggest a software issue. It suggests a hardware issue. Take a screenshot from your iPhone. Examine the screenshot in the Photos app. If the pink line appears in the photo then there is a failure on the motherboard. If the photo does not have that pink line then your screen is failing.
