I'm using iTunes Version 12.13.2.3. iTunes no longer connects/updates to my iPhone 13. What's up with that?

I've tried to update all my new music in iTunes, however, I can't get my apple iPhone updated with new music that I have loaded into my Computer iTunes account. Need to understand why?

First of all, does the phone icon appear in the iTunes window (it can take a few seconds to appear)?

If it does, click on it to display the Device/Settings/Summary pane:


Once you get to that stage, select the Device/Settings/Music pane (1.) and make sure the Sync Music option (2.) is on and the way you prefer it:



At option 3. choose either:

    • Entire music library, which adds all the music in your iTunes Library
    • Selected playlist, artist, albums and genres, which allows you to choose only what you want to add to the device, via the panels numbered 4.


At which point does it not do what you expect?
