Backing up imovie file and/or library on external drive

I would like to back up my imovie files and library on an external drive. I know I cannot simply save the imovei file without the library or I will have issues. How do I save about the library and imovie formatted file to a USB drive, so I can open it on another mac? Thanks!

to save the library, select it’s icon in the Movies folder and do Edit/Copy. then Edit/Paste it into the external USB drive. The drive must first be formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or APFS. if you need to reformat the drive, be aware that reformatting erases all data on the drive. So first back up elsewhere any data that you want to keep.
