Does my iPad AppleCare work for accessories bought after my initial purchase?

Hello. I am the owner of an M1 iPad Air that I bought in November of last year brand new. I purchased 2 years of AppleCare+ to protect my purchase. I recently bought a used Magic Keyboard on eBay. Will the previously used keyboard be included in my AppleCare coverage if I accidentally damage it? The AppleCare + coverage is supposed to also cover accessories, and I haven’t seen any specification between new and used. Thanks!

No. Second-hand accessories will not benefit from your AppleCare+ plan.

While AppleCare+ plans for iPad can also provide cover for some Apple accessories, this coverage extension will only apply to accessories purchased "new" at the same time as the iPad for which an AppleCare+ plan was itself purchased.
