Apple ID sign in error
I can't seem to sign in to Appleid on this Mac but I can sign in via the Web interface to the the appleid page. why would that be? Keeps telling me my password or username is incorrect.

How old is the mac.? If you’re running a mac older then macOS Sierra logging in with 2 factor authentication is not supported directly, then you’ll need to get a verification code elsewhere and paste that code behind your password in order to sign in
