Make Pages Table of Contents share same line

The title appears then leader dots but the page number drops to a line below. I want to keep it on the same line.

From your description, it sounds like you have a tab stop that is set too far to the right causing the page number to wrap.

Select one of the wrapping paragraphs in your TOC then select Format > Text. Towards the bottom of that panel there will be a Tabs section but you might have to click the right-facing character to expand that section.

In the box you should see an entry for a tab stop so reduce the distance until the text no longer wraps.
