Apple TV content subscriptions

I have an Apple TV subscription for which I pay 99/month on autopay. Why is it asking me to pay up again to watch a series?

iPhone 13 mini, iOS 17

Use the Apple TV+ tab in the app to view content that is included with your subscription. This includes all Apple Original content as well as some freebies thrown in.

Just like other streaming companies, you are also able to view other content that may require a different subscription such as Max, Paramount+, Showtime, etc. Purchases can also be made for Movies/Shows, so you can watch them without needing a subscription and will always remain on your device.

After choosing the Apple TV+ tab in Apple TV, then choose any show/movie there to see if you are able to watch them. If there you no problems with your subscription to Apple TV, then you will be able to play all content there.

If you are using the Home tab on Apple TV+, then some of that content may require a subscription to view the content that is being offered by that service. It is not unusual for a different streaming service to offer a free trial for the content that they provide.

Other streaming services, such as Hulu, Paramount+, Prime Video, Disney, also include content that may require a different subscription to view. This makes a single app a one stop experience to view content from multiple outlets that you may be subscribed to instead of having to switch to a different app to view them.

Stick with the Apple TV+ tab on Apple TV and you won't have to worry about needing another subscription to view content.
