Do the parentheses in the iPhone scientific calculator actually work?

I am trying to solve a reasonably complex equation. 365+(50*4)+(60*2). When I try to type this into the scientific calculator side of my iPhone 15 the parentheses button doesn’t do anything and actually starts the equation from the number after the parentheses. I.e. when entered 365+(50*2)= 100. Is there a way I can use the parentheses in my equations or do I just need to buy an actual scientific calculator?

Use a Third-Party App:

The Order of Operations (PEMDAS) is not all that user-friendly in the builtin Calculator app. So, rather than getting a scientific calculator, see about using a third-party app one: StackCalc Touch Calculator 4+ - App Store
