How to scan and email a printed document without an iPad or iPhone

I have a print copy of a word document that got corrupted after I printed it. I am trying to scan it so I can send it out to various emails. However they don’t have Notes or iPad so they would have a hard time opening it in this format. Do I have any other options?

Scanned documents within Notes are actually PDF files.

Having scanned a document to a Note, touch-and-hold the icon of the scanned document to expose an action menu. From the menu, select Share; this will open the Share sheet. From the Share sheet, you might choose Save to Files - or tap the Mail icon to send the PDF as an attachment to an email message.

Saving the PDF to files makes the PDF accessible directly from the iPadOS filesystem - where it can be used as required.
