iOS 17 issues with check ins

The other day after work I thought I accidentally created a check in to my sister for my ETA at home. I had my phone in my hand wrestling multiple things getting in the car. However the next day it did it again and I wasn’t touching my phone. After this is also wouldn’t display the name on the notifications for texts it only said “notification messages”. I went all through the settings thinking I did something, but I didn’t. My daughter and I went to get our nails done that evening and when we left the nail salon it did the same thing and also to my sister. She also had it to where her notifications then said “notifications messages”. The only way to get it to show the name again was to reboot our phones. Thankfully it’s just to my sister and not people I wouldn’t want to have my address. Anyone else having this issue since the update? It’s unsettling to think it’s just creating these check ins on its own and it could be to someone other than close friends or family. I have work colleagues and others I communicate with that I wouldn’t necessarily want having my home address. So my concern is it may spread itself to other contacts.
