Time machine

I have problem with time machine, becase of space, you can't yust bean some files. Simpiest solution is to format time machine in MS DOS, then format again in MAC extended and you have a fresh strat for Time machine.

Time Machine--new drive, "not enough space"? I have less than 400 GB of data on my machine, and I have a new blank 1TB hard drive. But Time Machine keeps telling me there is not enough space to back up my computer. I have used Disk Utility to erase the drive in case there was something on it that I can't see, but I get the same result. Any idea what's going on here, and how I fix it?

Why does my Time Machine no longer work? My eternal drive for Time Machine suddenly gave me the error: "Time Machine couldn't back up to "Time Machine" I've used this drive for months with my Mac Studio. I can't seem to use it anymore, although the Mac does see it and Disk Utility sees nothing wrong. Tried to reformat the external drive in various formats but to no avail. It used to back up everything fine but now seems to just not work as a Time Machine option. How do I fix this issue? Device: Mac Studio M1 Max macOS: Ventura 13.3.1
