How to install Java on new Macbook Air M3 running Sonoma 14.5
I want to install LibreOffice 7.6.7 software on my new Macbook Air M3 running Sonoma 14.5. LibreOffice says it needs Java installed for full functionality. I don't believe Java is preinstalled on my Macbook so I would like to know how to do that. The LibreOffice documentation states: "For macOS, the Oracle Java Development Kit (JDK) has to be installed, not just the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). It is important that the correct 32-bit or 64-bit edition matches the installed version of LibreOffice". I'm 76 years old and that is all Greek to me. Could someone please help? Thank you.
