Does Apple have to enable Apple Pay in Pakistan?
What role do Banks and FinTech Companies have in making that happen?
I am trying to understand why Apple Pay is not officially available in Pakistan and what can we as community do to make it available in Pakistan?

In general terms there are two broad categories that are the issue. One is the way and location that an individuals data is stored. Apple Pay works in a very specific way to insure the privacy of each individual. Some countries do not support the ways and locations Apple uses. The second issue is the banking regulations Apple must be in compliance with. Apple must be in compliance with US banking regulations and Pakistani banking regulations. When there is a conflict, Apple Pay can’t be implemented. Apple Pay requires local banks to support the system and process, but banks can’t violate their nations banking regulations etc. Apple has no option other than wait.
I doubt anyone outside of Apple could tell you precisely what is involved in getting Apple Pay approved. Certainly, no one here in this user-to-user forum would know. Anyone who does know probably isn't allowed to talk about it. However, I'm sure banks and local regulators are involved.
There is nothing "we as a community" can do.
