MacBook Pro M1 2021 3.5mm jack wired headphones option is gone from output menu
when I purchased MacBook Pro m1 2022 everything was working perfect. I listen to iTunes library 90% of the week thru wired external speakers. A 3.5mm jack is connected from MBP M1 to Bose Companion 3 series speaker system. This set up was perfect for a space saver. I power my MBP M1 and Bose speaker system hit play from iTunes library track is playing but there is no audio playing thru the speakers. I went thru 15 different 3.5mm wired headphones and absolutely no playback audio thru the any ear/headphones. I did a test to see if the input port on MBP M1 is receiving power it is getting power. The interesting fact on the day is when I first experience problem with 3.5mm audio port on mbp m1 I went to sound setting headphone speakers showed as the first option of the output options but MacBook Pro m1 wouldn't recognize as I hovered pointer over headphone speaker option it would not hilite or do anything than mbp m1 froze. I forced turning off the mbp m1 with power button. Started the mbp everything was working accept I went to sound setting I saw the headphone speaker options disappear as if it was being deleted. I really hope Apple didn't decide to take away the option for wired headphones or speakers
