Can we fix the AirPods Lid if broken?

Hi has anyone has the solution to fix back the AirPods Pro 2 lid? Mine fell off and when I went I went to Apple Store they asked me to replace the complete thing at an additional cost. The hinges are good. I have just been using this case for past one year. Does anyone else has a similar poor build quality issues?
