My Studio frequently drops connection to mouse, keyboard

Frequently the mouse or keyboard do not respond when the computer wakes up. Or in the middle of a session, it drops out. I had reinstalled Sonoma; and after 14.5 it didn't even wake up.

The Apple Support people kindly suggested to work some time in Safe Mode. Well, it still happens then. But less often. I disconnected a peripheral - my Studio- Dock by Hagebis.

So I question the whole device. Was it causing interference (protocol problems, it has ASM225 ??)

Now - a competing dock design suggests me that the the bluetooth antenna is at the bottom of the Studio. So having a metal object (alu case) underneath the Studio would block the BT waves.

--> I am now experimenting: I inserted a 10mm plank of wood between the two to give it space.

Would that help?

If you can prove the docking station is interfering with the Bluetooth, I would contact Hagibis and let them know. Belkin does make USB bluetooth transmitters that may work better than the one built-in to the Mac. Just make sure you get one that doesn't need additional drivers.
