Random person sent money on Apple Cash

A random person last night sent me $15 and this morning they are asking for it back. First message was saying “hi Savannah” (Not me), then they sent the $15. This morning they sent me this message:

Hello I am so sorry can u please be a good semaritan that 15 was all i had im 16 and i was sending it for knotts berry farm please please it was wrong number so sorry to bother you i just need it back.

Is this a scam? What do I do with the $15 in my account?

It could be scam, but it could also be an excited 16 year old. If you’ve already accepted the funds, just call an Apple Cash Specialist at Green Dot Bank.

Apple Cash is a service that’s administered by Green Dot Bank. Contact an Apple Cash Specialist at Green Dot Bank by calling (877)-233-8552 or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE
