Sidebar Icons increase in size as I scroll over them.

My app icons have suddenly enlarged as I go to the sidebar and scroll. I don’t know how to make them smaller again and my zoom is off. I do not like this feature as it interferes with regular use of my computer.

Re: "Sidebar Icons increase in size as I scroll over them".

Wondering if this sidebar is in one of the apps on your Mac, (and if so, which app's sidebar ?)

or, if the icons are your "dock" icons set to the side of the desktop screen.

Eg: To change the settings for the dock icons, to stop them from enlarging as the cursor arrow rolls over them

Go to: Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Desktop & Dock  in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

Then see the options: Eg:

Magnification: Magnify icons when you move the pointer over them.

Drag the slider to choose the magnification size. (Drag all the way to the left = off)

(Other setting options if needed:

Size : Drag the slider to change the Dock size.

Position on screen: Locate the Dock along the left, bottom or right edge of the screen.)

More info. in Apple Support's online article : Change Desktop & Dock settings on Mac - Apple Support

All the best :-)

Sidebar Icons increase in size as I scroll over them.
