Final Cut Pro Stablilization Configuration and Undesired Behaviors

In Final Cut Pro I typically use SmoothCam Stablilization and reduce the 1.5 defaults to .5. The cursor focus moves to Opacity 100% box when clicking next, or Rotational Smooth Stablilization parameter. It doesn't always do it, but it is typically on the first change.

Also, is there any method of setting user defined defaults for stabilization. I waste hours on the default, changing, deleting unused, and then ultimately getting my desired settings set.

Yes, hitting the Return key does in fact jump the cursor to the Opacity parameter. I can confirm this, must be a bug, report it to Apple.

To save your Stabilization custom settings, turn off all other section of the Inspector (Transform, Crop, etc).

Then click the "Save Effects Preset" button at the bottom right of the Inspector pane.

Give it a custom name and category, poof, done. It'll now be in your Effects Browser anytime you need it.
