How to turn off *all* voice navigation using Google Maps in Carplay?

I have muted navigation directions in Google Maps so I don’t get turn-by-turn directions; however, Siri still announces when there is a traffic slowdown, merging lanes, etc. How do I turn off *all* voice announcements? (I think this may be a setting outside Google Maps itself because the voice is different than the turn-by-turn voice. Also, I don’t know if the same issue occurs with other map/navigation apps.)

I’m using Carplay with an iPhone 14. This never happened with my iPhone 13 or older devices.
