How to turn off *all* voice navigation using Google Maps in Carplay

I have muted voice navigation in Google Maps so I don't get turn-by-turn voice navigation; however, Siri still alerts me to traffic slowdowns, merging lanes, etc. How do I turn off *all* voice navigation? I think this might be a setting outside of Google maps because the voice for turn-by-turn is different than the traffic alerts. (I only use Google Maps, so I don't know if the same issue occurs in Apple Maps, Waze, or other apps.)

I am using an iPhone 14, and this issue did not occur with my iPhone 13 or older devices.
