Pointer/cursor jumping at MacMail Sonoma M2

When I am writing a message at MacMail (16.0 version but this has been happening with Monterey and now Sonoma OS on a MacAir 2022 M2) --

and just now in writing this message, I'll pause to think and when I go to continue the place being permitted (and chosen by the computer) is somewhere else on the page. It can happen perhaps when I am using pinkie finger keys: might i be activating some short-cut combination of keys that causes this jumping? I wonder also it it is being happening because I am touch-typing with a kind of old-fashioning dancing fingers kind of action, if you -- there I did it there, and the pointer on my stopping this action for a pause JUMPED up to the word "jumping?" above, in the middle of that word with the notation for a spelling correction. It is worse with the Sonoma OS -- is it perhaps because of the AI automatic correction system that Sonoma has operating when one types?

It is very annoying and I'd like to learn (there it just jumped to the space here between these paragraphs -- as if it so to the last place in which a longer pause happened last) -- please help me to understand what might be happening (rather than just 'a fix' without it coming out of more understanding). I sense that it might be some behavior of mine that is trigger it.
