I have a brand new iPhone 12 case and the option to upgrade my phone. I appreciate this is a bit backwards but do a yo fit e newer iPhone models fit an iPhone 12 case?

iPhone cases are pretty much made to fit specific models. Not only their potential dimensional differences between models, there is the placement of openings for things like switches, SIM card trays, & the camera lenses.
