no serial port /dev/tty.usbserial

Trying to communicate with my Ender 3-d printer (although I have had similar problems with Arduino). I get the error message, "no serial port /dev/tty.usbserial-210". When I ask the program (Pronterface in this case) for a list of available ports, this is the only port that shows up.

Sometimes, shutting everything down and starting fresh will fix this, but not always, and this time I've gone through the cycle 3 times with the same result.

Please,can anyone help?

On my former MBP (2014 Retina, Catalina), plugging the board into the USB port creates connection /dev/tty.usbserial-1410. The usbserial device also shows up in the USB section of the system report. When I move the cable to the newer M1 MBP, no such devices show up in either the terminal listing of /dev/tty* or the system report. Is there a problem detecting the USB device and loading the driver for it on newer, Apple silicon Macs? Has anyone else succeeded with this type of connection?

Brother Computer Having issues connecting my Brother DCP - 7065DN printer to work. After I tried to upgrade from macOS Monterey 12.6.3 to Ventura but my M1 MacBook has had issues starting up. The status bar will only go 50% of the way and get stuck there. So Apple support sent me to the Genius Bar and their solution was to reset the MacBook and restart from my backup. But every time I try to upgrade to the Ventura macOS the same status bar situation happens all over again. So now I am working in macOS Monterey and I am not able to get my Brother printer to work both on the network and USB. What are my options at this point for both being unable to upgrade and printer problem
