Apple gift card says redeemed but I didn’t
I have never used my Apple Card but yesterday it said redeemed and when I called apple they said it was used yesterday am
In the future, never purchase any Gift Card from a retailer where they display them to the public to be tampered with. The retailers know about the common gift card scam where their customers are losing money, but refuse to do anything about it. These same retailers will lock up products that are subject to theft where they can lose money, but do not provide the same protections for you. Only buy Gift Cards where they are secured behind a counter.
When displayed in the open a scammer will grab a bunch of card and remove the grey sticker to write the code down. They can easily replace the sticker with one purchased from Amazon and then return the cards to the rack. After you have activated the card, they can spend it before you get a chance to.
