Newest models have USB-C ports. if you want to retrofit to USB-A devices, just use these little adapters, typically 2 for US$10:
when connecting higher speed devices, more robust adapters may be needed. I own some of these and they work fine for casual connections.
use caution when buying -- as the reverse adapters are also available.

Apple has been shipping MacBooks with USB-C ports for a long time. Macbook Pros got them in 2016, about a year and a half after Apple released their first USB-C-equipped notebook (the 12" Retina MacBook).
As far as I know, no Mac notebooks with USB-C ports have USB-A ones as well. Some Mac desktops have both types of ports – but if you look on the 24" M3 iMacs, even the ones that have two USB 3 ports offer these in the form of two USB-C (USB 3) ports. There are no USB-A ports anywhere on a 24" M1 iMac.

Sorry if I am not understanding your question. There appears to be 2.
MacBook Pro - Tech Specs - Apple
2 on models with 'base' processor chips.
3 on models with 'Pro' and 'Max' chips.

Thanks for clarifying. I think the link I provided shows that. Maybe I should have included the words "at least".
