Since the update, I cannot send photos in text messages. Seems like I lose internet connection as well. AT&T is not having issues. Anyone else? I might get a random photo to go through.

MMS is a AT&T feature, not Apple or ios.
The latest update is 17.5.1. Have you updated to it?
Do you use VPN? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile.
