iOS 17.5.1 update - car play WhatsApp issues

Since doing this update my Car play WhatsApp is not working correctly. When a message is received I cant reply, and I cant start a new message. I get the "somethings not quite right" annoying voice, or similar messages. I've rebooted, reset car play but no success so far. Other apps seem to be ok.

Its in a Ford Kuga (UK) with Sync4. The Sync is up to date, but the issue only appeared after iOS update.

Can anyone help? Apple updates are so frustrating when these things happen.

I have the same issue since upgrading to 17.5.1 in my Mercedes EQB.

all other apps works fine in car play, just WhatsApp that won’t read messages out.

I’m having the same issue with WhatsApp since the update, all other apps working ok

I tried a new official Apple cable and this didn’t resolve the issue

WhatsApp calls will not connect thru CarPlay. Recently downloaded iTunes music will not play either. I’m on IOS version 17.5.1. I have removed CarPlay and reconnected - problem still exists.
